Books Showoff is a series of literary collaborations between a bookshop with a cool cocktail bar and a man who makes nerds funny for a living.
We bring together readers, writers, publishers, comedians, librarians and booksellers to entertain you by talking about all the words they’ve been stuffing into their huge brains. Everyone gets 9 minutes to share their love (or loathing) for anything from the literary world. Think “a cross between an open mic night and a book club for people with short attention spans”.
Gigs generally take place at Waterstones on Tottenham Court Road, in the basement which has been transformed into a very lovely cocktail bar.
